ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece essentially depicts my interest in exploring the concept of 'man vs. nature' and the continuous dialogue between them. I tried to reinforce this idea painting the elements in different ways in a sort of 'mix and match' approach. I am interested in the idea of fracture and how we can find different parts of a painting inside the painting.

In my recent work I combine human figures with architectural elements. I have always been drawn toward the figure and particularly with the representation of the upper part, as a 'sculpted bust'. I depict a background surrounding these figures. An idealised landscape, a fictional scenario inhabited with different architectural structures and symbolic objects to create a notional, mental space.
