About The Artwork
A bright and dynamic yet fun depiction of the world of the Sea Turtle. A Loggerhead making her way about the sea bottom with a selection of her favorite things to eat. They swim the world over and travel almost the whole Atlantic before coming back to a beach very near where they were hatched. An amazing cycle of life. DNA studies have shown that mothers, daughters and grandmothers are all nesting in the same general area. Sandra Baker-Hinton is an avid volunteer with Sea Turtles 6 months out of the year patrolling the beaches, marking and monitoring nests. A passion that carries over into her paintings.
