THIS PAINTING IS PART OF A SET OF FOUR PAINTINGS TO BE SOLD UNDER THE TITLE "The Nudians (Reunited)". Acrylic on canvas, 15cmx20cmx1.7 cm. 2019 A simple swimmer, a modern nymph, mysterious citizen, shy or unashamed young lady, my Nudes Series "The Nudians" depicts a traditional theme in a classical form. All of these nudes of women are sensual because none of them takes the pose. Of a small size, these Nudes, in color, are discreet, and decorative. Their execution required very fine brushes, vibrant colors of fine quality with high pigment concentration for maximum visual pleasure. Courbet spoke of "making art alive" about the painting of a Nude. I hope that my "living" Nudians will give pleasure to look at. "Mantegna". The title of this painting refers to the painter Andrea Mantegna who painted "The Lamentation over the Dead Christ", with the same foreshortening. Tous ces Nus de femmes sont sensuels car aucune ne prend la pose. De petits formats, ces Nus, en couleur, sont discrets, et décoratifs. Leur exécution a nécessité des pinceaux très fins, des couleurs vibrantes de qualité fine à forte concentration pigmentaire pour un maximum de plaisir visuel. Courbet parlait de « faire de l’Art vivant » à propos de la peinture d’un Nu. J’espère que mes « vivantes » Nudians vous plairont. « Mantegna », le titre de ce tableau fait référence au peintre Andrea Mantegna qui a peint « The Lamentation over the Dead Christ », avec le même raccourci. Ludovic Jaccoud https://ludovicjaccoudart.webnode.fr/ is a Swiss Artist creating with great talent a distinctive style displaying combination of figurative, anamorphic and semi-abstract elements. Education While living in Belgium, Ludovic Jaccoud went on to improve drawing at the Académie des beaux arts de Bruxelles, in Brussels, and at the legendary Musée de la Bande Dessinée de Bruxelles; he proved a real talent for Technical Drawing. Back to his native country, after University studies, he dedicated himself on learning History of Arts and its techniques. In 2009, Ludovic finally launched his career as a painter.
