„Mater Messis”: in Latin means Mother of Harvest. By presenting a woman in symbiosis with nature, I want to emphasize the irreplaceable role of both in the further existence of mankind. While painting this picture, I thought about the present difficult situation of women in my country, Poland. Restricting women by a system of laws and prohibitions that bind them to decide about their own bodies, faiths and social and family position, I compare to the degradation of the natural environment on the Earth. With this painting I pay homage to both; the Woman and Nature, as the Sources of Life. Beauty and the need of both are the „Mother of Birth” (Mater Mesiss) of our existence. Especially my thanks go to very beautiful French model Karen Jgy , who let me use her image, and the French photographer Frederic Egli, the author of the Karen portrait, which became the inspiration for creating the image. „Woman and Nature; Life-giving Muses of our existence Overgrown with weeds Thrown with stones They will fall on the ruins of our humanity…”

He graduated from the High School of Art in Rzeszow (Poland) and then studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (Poland). Diploma with distinction defended in the Studio Poster with prof. P. Kunce. After studying he spent a lot of time working in the advertising industry, where he created many interesting artistic projects, many movie posters, including the poster for Andrzej Wajda's "Katyn", the director who won the Oscar. Nevertheless, acting in this industry, he turned his strong towards painting, which has long been his passion. He creates first and foremost paintings painted with acrylic paints, where he clearly evokes the inspiration of the art of the old masters, and especially the masters of the Renaissance. The main theme of his paintings is feminine nudity and an attempt to show her beauty in a way that is not always obvious, not always real. That is why surrealistic meetings of worlds far from each other in time and space are not alien to him. In the world of his painting is governed above all the unfettered imagination of the creator. His works are in many collections in Poland and abroad.
