Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Wood.

Inspired by Henri Matisse's quote, "A thimbleful of red is redder than a bucketful." This wood painter's palette has been layered over time with thick applications of a different reds, and has been varnished four times with a clear gloss. The effect is a rich, tactile surface that is a bright, pop of color. Relatively lightweight, the palette hangs using 3M velcro attachments, which make for easy readjustment and do not damage walls when removed.
