This painting, McDonald's Bag is a pop art piece painted as a traditional still life study. I wanted to take a simple, disposable subject, the brown paper bag, and give it immortality. I sought to invoke contemporary consumer society and our values by using the subject matter of fast food. The piece can be seen as a glorification of fast food or simply and observation of our contemporary habits.
