ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I painted this piece after returning from holiday on the Scottish Coast. I wanted this work to create the sense of calm and wonder that I felt whilst in the wilderness, to bring that into someone's home when ever they looked upon the piece. I wanted to show movement within the painting, as if a breeze could be seen and felt. The transition from warm to cooler hues across the canvas draws the eye into the detail and the individual marks on the canvas.
