I painted the artwork "Memories of Pleasure" when I was working a lot. At that time, I felt the need for more rest. It was during those moments, my mind wandered to the nostalgia of pleasant, happier days. Those are warm memories. The pink tree in my painting is associated with the beauty of nature and its influence on our emotions. It is about the feeling of gratitude and admiration for natural beauty. The image of a bench under the pink tree in a resort town creates a sense of peace and harmony. The bench reminds me of a place for romantic meetings and important conversations. The painting also symbolises the opportunity to relax and separate ourselves from our daily routine. It feels good to relax, if even for a moment.

Hanna Hordynska Email: Instagram: , Hanna was born in the city of Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraine. When she was a student, she moved to Kyiv, where she is based now. For many years, she had built a career in the corporate business world. However, deep down, she’s always had undeniable desire to be creating art - principally painting and poetry. It was a longing she could no longer suppress. That unstoppable desire to express and explore her creativity in more profound ways is what eventually drove her to transition from a corporate career to embracing art full-time. The initial spark was ignited during art training in Kyiv, which opened up a new realm of possibilities. After receiving some local training, Hanna started to paint, experimenting with different mediums and styles. Painting and poetry became not just hobbies, but rather essential means of communication and exploration. The more Hanna delved into this world, the more she realized that her true calling was in the arts. This journey of discovery and self-expression, of translating emotions and thoughts into visual form, is why she became an artist. Hanna creates a variety of artworks including painting (oil, acrylic, mixed media) and illustration. Her journey through different mediums was a process of exploration and discovery. She experimented with oil, acrylic, and mixed media, seeking the perfect vehicle for her creative expressions. Hanna’s approach is exploratory, combining different mediums and styles. For instance, over time, she found a profound connection with acrylics - particularly in large formats. This medium allows Hanna the flexibility, vibrancy, and dynamic range she needs to best convey the energy and emotions inherent in her artworks. The choice was driven by a desire for a medium that complements her intuitive and experimental approach, enabling Hanna to vividly capture the essence of her inspirations. When Hanna paint, she transgresses back to childhood. Art, for her, is a means of returning to the vivid emotions and sincerity of that time period - a way to express and evoke the unique experiences we all carry within us. In those moments, she experiences the same emotions was feeling at that time - sincere, pure and very bright. These emotions eventually turn into unique creative expressions.
