Painting: Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic on Canvas.
The result of my recent exploration of the royal red while pursuing the unfamiliar territory of deeper less innocent colour pallet. As I ventured into this previously forbidden colour incognito, I found my confidence being at the right level to express the mysteriously inviting, same time frightening subtly sexy skies. Can sky be sexy? something doesn't stuck up. Let say its in the air...something suppressive, something powerful, something darker and more secretive that hides behind the innocent paper planes.
the symbolism of the Migration collection is a comparative between the birds and people appealing to our intuitive regardless the circumstance sense of direction. Whether we follow the crowd and form flocks to achieve our aim collectively or venture on our own, the idea of taking on the journey as the purpose of life in itself is a dominant motive throughout.
