Living with an invisible illness has informed the majority of her work, which is a combination of Painting, Sculpture, and Digital Fabrication. Using a range of mold-making and casting techniques, her sculptures and installations are commonly assembled out of cell-like parts that emerge as a visualization of various mental states, encouraging closer examination of what we thought we knew to be true. Playful yet architectural landscapes of thought patterns and mind maps emerge in her recent series, Sensory Landscapes / Mind Maps 1. Forms, colors, textures, and everyday objects are re-contextualized as a form of re-writing and storytelling about unseen disability. Likewise, her Bloom series is inspired by algal bloom patterns and exists as a metaphor for the cyclical nature of such experiences. The alluring qualities of beauty and repulsion is a central theme throughout her work which spans multiple mediums and disciplines.
