I am Julie Webster, an artist residing in the beautiful city of Charlotte, NC. After graduating from WVU with a degree in Interior Design, I spent over two decades working as an Interior Designer. However, a new and exciting passion took hold of me, leading me to embark on a remarkable artistic journey. While working closely with my design clients, I discovered a unique connection between my interior design work and my love for painting. Many of my clients were not only captivated by my design expertise but also expressed a deep appreciation for my artwork. They eagerly purchased several of my paintings, which I custom-made to seamlessly blend with their decor, creating a harmonious fusion of design and art. Color has always been my muse, and I find endless joy in exploring its vibrant and expressive qualities. I am particularly drawn to landscapes, finding inspiration and tranquility in the beauty of nature. It is through loose impressionist strokes that I aim to capture the essence and movement of the scenes that speak to my soul. What sets my artistic journey apart is that I am primarily self-taught. Guided by my passion and an innate understanding of color and brushwork, I have embraced the freedom of self-expression in my art. Working predominantly with oils and acrylics, I immerse myself in their unique qualities, allowing me to bring my vision to life on canvas.
