Misunderstood Painting

Russell James Aquinaldo is a self-taught artist. He was born on a military base in Northern California. He spent most of his life exploring the US including Alaska, Hawaii and Germany. Russell now resides in Florida with his wife and young children. Russell is from a multigenerational military family and is a direct descendent of the 1st Filipino President, Emilio Aguinaldo. There are many creative influences in his family that have played a part in shaping the artist he is today. Since the early 2000’s he has completed a few off the book collections; “Simplicity, the Ultimate Sophistication,” “Freestyle Abstract,” and “Those Among Us,” the prelude to his new collection, New Era. Russell James' signature style is inspired by the unparalleled uniqueness of the human spirit. An abstract approach with modern lines and beautiful color combinations.
