momento interior Painting

I was born and raised in Panama City, Panama in 1974. Also spent five years abroad in southern Brazil, between 1992 and 1997, where I received my degree as an architect. Since early days I practiced drawing and painting, but it's only until 2011 when I took a close approach to painting and decided to devote more time to it. I paint both figurative and abstract styles, and the influence of one can be felt on the other. Currently I am more focused on the abstract style, where usually the work takes organic shapes that may evoke different feelings or impressions on the observer, which is more interesting to me: to provoke ideas and not to impose mine. Although my paintings start with a previous concept, they always evolve into something different, where ultimately I am in the pursue of balance of shapes, gestures and colors.
