• Monkey Business • Painting

• The phrase “Monkey Business” originated in England in 1832, and is used to describe silliness, or acts of foolishness. Similarly, “Monkeying Around” is when someone does something not useful, nor meaningful. • On my 53” tall canvas, I digitally painted a monkey named MONsoon shown kissing NOTnow, a twin sister of CAThy, shown at right bulky, carrying MONsoon’s 1-month kitten baby. • CAThy did not mind her paramour’s kissing her sister, believing that his stupidity would add more goodie to her family. • My research on the subject said that “Monkey Business” had been used to title songs and movies, like the screwball comedy which Howard Hawkes made in 1952, by starring Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe. • That movie is about a flimsy chimpanzee who sneaked into a pharma firm’s R&D; and mixed chemicals to produce a “solution?” to the age-defying commotion. • After the aging Cary tried the solution, he started to fool around with young women, one of them Marilyn. Please don’t ask what happened, since I don’t know in the end. •.In today’s Corona Pandemic handling, Donald Trump’s poor 37% job approval rating says that “Monkey Job” is what he is doing. Can you also say that to Steve Jobs after he created the Pro Mac, the iPhone, and iPad?
