Monks Painting

I lived in Thailand for about twenty years. Early every morning the monks go out to collect offerings. They are not permitted to cook for themselves.The Monks line up by seniority. People wait them to give them offerings, usually of food. By doing so the people gain merit. With their vivid orange colored robes it is a beautiful sight. I think this painting provides an insight to the Thai and Buddhist culture. My choice of mediums was affected by the feeling I wanted to achieve.
