ABOUT THE ARTWORK
«Monokini» At all times the image of a woman has inspired the creators. Mothers, lovers, daughters and strangers — they all since old times have been the central figures of pieces of art. The image of an asian girl in my work is an embodiment of a modern woman in a modern society! She is free, feminine, strong, independent and at the same time weak. She can be so different! The flowers in the painting are lilies. A wonderful white lily embodies the innocence and purity. Orange color, being an antithesis to white, represents an image of «yin and yang». For me the real beauty — it is not an object that I can touch, but a feeling of excitement, euphoria and joy from what I see. The picture is painted with strokes using a palette knife. I wanted to get away from being academic and add a touch of imperfection into the work to make it livelier and more understandable. The work is painted with acryl, as well as acryl with pearl-scent effect, and with oil markers. The basis of the painting is a canvas on a wooden stretcher! The painting is for sale unframed, the edges of the work are painted over. Hooks for hanging the painting on the wall are included. The work was painted and photographed in my workshop. Daria Ilyukhina, a decorative artist and a painter. I was born in 1990 in a small town in Russia. I have been painting since childhood and I graduated from the Academy of Arts and Architecture with honor! While studing at the university, I was also working as a shop assistant, decorator and florist and now all the experience and skills, I gained at that time, still help me in my art. Since 2013 I have been a practicing artist. In addition to painting pictures, I also paint walls, clothes, shoes and I decorate old furniture. Art, for me, is a way of self-expression, my personal meditation, a breath of fresh air! I am always inspired by people and especially my clients who I can make happy with my art. For me it is very important always to be on the move, be curious, study, travel, be able to observe the world and gain invaluable experience in any sphere of life. The favourite material to work with is acryl. I love combining it with graphic and plain lines. I like colour and light in my works. My paintings and decors are now in private interiors in Tel Aviv, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don and other cities of Russia. I am very happy with everyone who is interested in my art!
