I was inspired to paint a moon flower because I often see them on my evening walks. They are incredibly delicate in the landscape. Their white calls out to me set against the beautiful dark green leaves and grasses. I hope you will enjoy seeing your next moon flower on your nature walks.

Nature is a constant inspiration for my art and has a way of captivating me with its wild and intricate essence. I am drawn to natures many forms and seasons with its own unique palette. I love the early violets and soft greens of spring; the summer with tropical like lush greens; wildflowers shouting out a variety of beautiful colors; ocean waves calling me to see its many shades of blue. I hope my painting can serve as a bridge - bringing others closer to the natural world and inspiring them to cherish and protect it. Jill Morton is an Australian abstract expressionist artist. She has traveled world wide and explored clay and textiles in Europe and Asia. In New York city she obtained a BFA in art and teaching degrees at Teachers College.
