I was born in 1967 in Estonia, which was back then an occupied, closed society. Growing up in these conditions, a person receives very little outside influence. Their development is mostly driven by their inner feelings. In a closed system, you have no background noise, no external factors or opinions to shape you. For an artist, this situation presents an environment where they are able to evolve purely, dreaming of things that in an open society might already have gone out of fashion. I studied and graduated the Estonian Academy of Arts, majoring in Ceramic Art. But applied arts could never fully entice me, thus I made a choice in my youth that led me into the business world for almost three decades. An important part of the ability to succeed at my job and business in general is the sense of creativity. Creating a company can be considered a creation as well... like a painting, where you need to set the composition and balance the colours. So, for many years I was working in arts as well as business, with one complimenting the other. However, true art cannot be divided. By now I have finished everything that has ever been in my way of creating art and that has opened up a new, hidden world for me. A world full of colours, pure aesthetics, grace and passion. Art is passion and happy is the artist whose passion others wish to be a part of, while getting an aesthetic pleasure of it. One of the main purposes of art should be to offer aesthetic pleasure, to make the audience forget about their troubles, to help them see the next moment in a bit of a brighter light. This is why my art is free of problems and trends. Expressive colour themes and delicate female figures create a symbiosis, through which I wish to show that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. A woman in my art is like a roadmap, leading me and showing the way in this newly opened world.
