This is the 3rd in my series of pale grey background, highly textured white strokes and a touch of gold. (The previous two being “Paths” and “Desire”). As with the other two, no planned design. As a healing artist, I simply let the energies flow through me. However, after the fact I realized that I had created this work the night of the full moon, July 19 2016 . What I also believe to be significant, is the profile of a face on the Waxing Crescent, it can clearly be seen in the close up image. The symbolism of balance and shadows, emotions and illumination. The Moon is the illumination between complete darkness and the Sun’s complete light. It’s known to be the elusive connection between consciousness and subconsciousness . It is the in between, the unknown. In Native American lore, the New Moon is a time to let things go, whereas the Full Moon is a time to begin things. The reasoning is that at the time of the New Moon, you’re covered in darkness and no one can see the emotion you display, while during the Full Moon, your aspirations and hopes are transparent and visible. It is also associated with the following: , Transformation,Fertility,Illumination,Change,Shadows,Balance,Emotions,Intuition, Inner Knowledge. The Waxing crescent, Full moon and Waning crescent in a single image are associated with Rhythm of time. Cycle of life. Renewal The Full Moon represents this and it holds onto each opposing aspect, the crescents. This tells us that everything is connected and never ends. Nothing is coincidence.

I am a Canadian Artist born in 1957 in Montreal and moved to Toronto in 1981 where I pursued a career in business while harboring a secret passion to paint. In 2013 I visited St. Paul de Vence (France), and upon my return I spontaneously picked up a paintbrush for the first time and fell in love with the serenity that painting brought to me. In 2016 after a lifetime in the corporate world, I left it all behind to pursue a full time career of passion and love, with new challenges, life lessons and spiritual growth. In 2018 I relocated to Spain, where I currently live. I have chosen to share my journey through my art. I am an intuitive self-taught painter. My life experiences, music and colors are my sources of inspiration, and my paintings are a journey for both myself and the viewer. I identify myself as painting from the inside out. I paint with music and music paints through me, orchestrating a symphony of colors, movements, energies, and vibrations. When I paint, I am drawn to select a palette of colours and I paint in a trance-like state and am not aware of the passage of time or what realm I travel to, not knowing what I will create, or for whom. I am often drawn to paint with many layers (each layer being part of the story) and often with bold texture, I paint with total abandon. I paint mostly with acrylics and love to add some gold here and there. My abstract works encourage individual interpretation and resonance with the observer.
