A beautiful semi-abstract seascape, lots of layers of light blue, lilac, silver, gold and rose. My intention was to capture the light and shades of a morning sunrise, as each new day is a new promise. This painting will sparkle when hit by light as I used silver and gold metallic pigments in some areas. I think that this painting likes a frame, so I show it framed in a matte silvergrey wooden floating frame. Of course you can have it framed and/or choose another color. Silver or white would work fine, too. If you would like it framed, contact me and we will work out the price. 40x40 cm on stretched canvas, sides painted. Semi-matte varnished. Ready to hang with hook at the back. Signed on the back. (c) Gesa Reuter 2018

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
