About The Artwork
The work was created by contemporary Kazakh artist Leyla Mahat in 2017. The main source of inspiration for the artist is nature. Open colors flow into each other, symbolizing continuous exchange of energy in nature. The sky as a symbol of infinity, mountains - the personification of the idea of spiritual elevation, the structure that connects various spheres of existence. Diptych was exhibited at Leyla Makhat's solo exhibition in Astana. During its creation the artist used a complex technique of multi-layered painting - this determines the structure and texture of the picture.
