I love depicting horses of the Mughal and Tang empires and painting their embroidered saddlecloths. The horse has a craquelure porcelain effect finish which is very hard. The border is raised and textured in gesso, acrylic and oil.

My themes are horses from the Mughal and Tang Empires, birds, hares, gardens and interiors. I use gesso in some of my work which I build up in layers and distress, in conjunction with acrylic, oil and gold leaf. I particularly love the effect of craquelure. I use deep canvases painted over the sides, none of my work needs to be framed and they are all ready to hang.
