ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece, like many of my work, is inspired by the love of world culture. We may all experience so very different lives but we are all beautiful and one in the same. The broken colorful pieces, which is my signature style, represents all the different cultures in the world. We leave pieces of us with everyone we interact with and that shapes the world we live in today. Colorful broken shapes formed into a beautiful human being. This is a portrait of a woman from the beautiful indigenous and isolated tribe of Mursi. There are only 10,000 of them left in the world and they live in Omo National Park. She is one of them.
