My Boat Painting

My name is Erin Silav and I was raised in Istanbul also known as Constantinopolis where East meets West. I lived and worked in Texas for many years and recently moved to Del Mar. My work is informed by beautiful colors and forms easily found in nature. My compassion for abstract art has began years ago experimenting with traditional acrylic and fluid acrylic painting. I have dedicated extensive amount of time visiting exhibits from innovative artists, learning from creative artists at dozens of different art workshops at multiple destinations. I enjoy working on large scale canvases most interfacing lots of color, textures, movement, and accents. I continuously enjoy to discover, develop and express my artistic vision at different venues. Several of my abstract paintings were acquired by modern medical office buildings as well as contemporary homes for staging. My abstract paintings are a way to connect and communicate with my beautiful community and art lovers.
