What is going on in the world can be seen within ourselves and vice versa. Once we see this clearly, we cannot refuse to take a position and act. I respond to the world through my images. In all my paintings I am reacting to the social injustice of my world. I always try to keep indianness in all my paintings through lines and strokes that reminds of the Indian art and philosophy. Lord Buddha who gave thousands of talks is portrayed as silent in many of my paintings with no mouth. In reality it is the noble silence of Buddha who understood the profundity of the eternal truths of the Universe. The question that often comes to my mind is why do I paint? Many times I have a stable, strong and endorsed desire to paint and it gives significance to my life.
