About The Artwork
This Painting is my expression of Pride of being a Latina/Italian American, all my cultural and personal influences. In the mural tradition that is my background, this is a mini mural. It is symbolic, dramatic and includes symbols from my life. I am exploring a more graphic expression, abstracted and with a colorful composition. Think of what your cultural and environmental influences would look like if this was your painting. I paint in acrylic paint rather than oil. I find that I could make give the same feel with acrylics.
