Cotton looks very impressive now in various ekibana, for photos, it is also used in bouquets. But I am very, very familiar with this plant. And I have a peculiar attitude towards him. I lived in Uzbekistan and went to school there. And I have the most vivid memories of cotton from my school days. All the senior classes went to cotton, helped the collective farms to collect this "white gold". The cotton fields were endless, like the sea. We collected it by hand, we were given special aprons, which we wrapped around the waist in a hanging bag. We tore off the mature dried cotton heads and collected them in a bag. I will say that at that time I definitely did not consider a branch of cotton as some kind of beauty, we did not drag it home and, of course, did not decorate bouquets with it. But times are changing, and I'm already in Russia, where it doesn't grow right across the street. And you can't just pick it off the bush. And that's why I was happy to draw this twig in the vision of an endless field.
