About The Artwork

"Nashville Glass" was inspired by an early morning view. A gorgeous sunny day, I opened the window curtains to find a bold abstract before my eyes filled with reflections of majestic urban architecture. I knew immediately that this scene had to be painted! I hope that viewers will find that I have successfully captured the beauty of waking up to a modern city-scape. I chose to paint this scene using poured watercolors and fluid acrylics on paper. My goal was to be fearless with my water media paints in order to capture the early morning thrill of waking up to the urban energy found in a lovely city.
