About The Artwork
I have been interested in Native Americans for a lifetime. I have painted a number of paintings of Native Americans. This is my most recent one. The red Appaloosa war horse with war paint is symbolic of war. The style is a cross between photo realism and impressionism. "And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword." (Revelation 6:4, KJV.) The rifle held upward symbolizes declaration of war, entering battle, civil war, conquest.
