Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

Nothing is more magical than seeing fireflies lighting up a lush forest at night! In 12th century Japan, it's believed that fireflies are the ghosts of Tiara and Minamoto warriors. Once a year, on the anniversary of a historic battle, thousands of caged fireflies are released over the Uji River at night to re-enact the historic battle. I would love to see this spectacle...wouldn't you? Coated wire on the back makes this piece ready for hanging.
