ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Nebula, a deep space of inner flow... natures movement fused and captured in time. One can get lost into the splendor and dance of colors or have a sense open space. One element shape merges into the next, like two beings in love. The process: I layered this canvas with multiples passed of thick acrylic paint. I expressed myself mood at the time with lines, and curves. Some agressive swooshes and other passes of delicate pressure and movement. I then poured paint from above, in a random order, trying to balance control and natural "accidents". I dripping water into the wet paint, so it would mix and blend in varied consistency. I then airbrushed it while wet, blowing paint colors around, mixing and making paths, curves and valleys. I just went with my gut, following my energy, just letting out movements and giving birth to visual splendor. Its as if the wet paint, painted itself and we danced together with force and motion, all respective of its natural course to dry and fuse into one final resting place. I let it live where it wanted to. I then emphasised elements to "emit" or "breath" blasts of light and added contours accentuate what was nature's way already...we expressed as one.
