Everything appears as it always appears when one is listless, what changes is the perception of what appears. The girl portrayed here full-length is well aware that the floor is almost teal blue. She know that the wall is of a blue tending towards extinction: it tends to be grey. And she also knows the color of her skin tone, the color of her costume and the way she is bending her body. she knows where she is and what she's doing. What she doesn't know is why she can't get a concrete version of the whole: everything is under control, she knows what she's doing and where she is, but she doesn't feel a connection between her and the situation (and vice versa). Like a wake-up call she's forgotten she's set, an emotional prompt comes to her: "You don't want this." The image is painted with quick strokes and overlapping fields of color. The whole is incomplete, to accentuate the feeling of "out of place". Rigid/pressed cardboard, two millimeters thick (can be framed or not).
