ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Never make the same mistake twice, unless he's hot." I think we can all appreciate this idea. Sometimes you're doing something knowing full well that there will be a reckoning, but it's just impossible to resist. As I was thinking about how to turn this quote into a painting, I quickly thought of food, because there's just so much of the "bad for you, but oh so delicious" kind. Chocolate. Steak. Anything deep fried. But then I thought: there's also food that's delicious but bad for you in other ways. Like hot chilis, where the punishment usually follows 12-18 hours after the meal. You know what I mean. So, this is my interpretation of "keep making the same mistake", because, well, they're hot.
