Vadim Shamanov (born in 1973 in Ukraine) is a professional artist who lives and works in Moncton, Canada. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Ukraine and Europe. His interest in fine arts, music, and photography originated in childhood. He received a musical and artistic education, but painting became his main way of self-realization. His inspiration mainly includes the music and art of artists such as Richter, Nicolas de Staël and Pollock. As a way of self-expression, Vadim Shamanov chose abstract painting, which allows the author to convey his creative ideas through color, form and oil paint texture. His abstract works are distinguished by layering and complex composition, as well as a desire for volume and depth. He establishes contact with his viewers through a subtle three-dimensional effect in his paintings. He mainly works with oil paint on canvas, but sometimes he experiments with materials and surfaces using steel sheets or OSB boards. His works are in private collections in Europe, USA, and Japan.
