Mockery of cliché. Once when in USA I was given the full treatment. New England in the "Fall". Autumn to a Limey. Driven hither and thither. Trees everywhere, shades of red and gold. Stayed with Rosie the Artist on Cape Cod. You still there Rosie? Reverential mention of Kennedy Family. Lived close. Not on my radar. Apologies: ignorance: mortified. Returned to England latter. Discovered by chance that father of John F. had been Ambassador to UK during early days of WW2. Under surveillance by British Internal Security as a threat. Meanwhile Dad was on an airfield some miles from Dover, filling his boots and or his pants, during Battle of Britain. Which Kennedy earnestly wished to be a British defeat. See declassified messages to US State Department and German Foreign Ministry. Hence my red and gold leaves leading to title, mockery of not only myself, and choice of Song. It's a really nice painting. Does convey the vast swathes of red and gold of New England in the Fall. See y'all. Listening to: Vera Lynn - White Cliffs of Dover
