This is one of the gender fluid boys, inspired by the "muxes" of the Istmo region in Oaxaca. In celebration of my nephew who has declared himself nonbinary. This is about new masculinities and freer ways of approaching the roles of men in current times.

I am interested in experimenting with sincretic images that capture the whole range of religious experiences. I am inspired by the architecture and mural paintings of the Aztecs, Mayan, Zapotecan and other peoples from America and I like to intersect them with the aesthetics brought to America by the Spanish, like virgins, saints and holy beings. I intersect them with a third paradigm which is my personal journey into Indian philosophies and the idea of enlightenment. The result shows where I am now, believing that art is the way, and being an artist is my religion. I am an atheist, after years of searching. I am Mexican, after two migrations.
