Night At The Opera Painting

Hi I am Jay I am a Perth based visual artist producing quirky portraiture paintings, that are energetic and boldly visual. I use layers of acrylic paint in a semi abstract manner using heavy brush strokes to create texture and depth. Faces and personalities capture my attention, from the mundane to the notable, the fringe dweller to the A lister, the rebellious drifter to the ruthless go getter. Every face tells a story and behind each of my portraits there is a tale of wonder or woe........portraiture features strongly in my portfolio but I also like to explore a variety of themes in my work.
