Theme: On the occasion of the anniversary of the Edict of Milan, by Emperor Constantine, at the invitation of Dante Alighieri, it was a great opportunity to represent an impression of a city, which became, after meeting catered, dear to the spirit.
Compositional: The Spirit of Nis, gently resting from left to right, for almost the entire horizontal extent of the canvas, quietly puts in communication the sky, the earth and the river, through the light. This, yellow understood, partly from the heat of the hot air balloons, fire trees on the riverfront and is transformed into a feeble flame that illuminates through the lanterns, the waves at night.
