ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Hand embroidery on round black canvas. This piece is inspired by the amazing Northern Lights. I use embroidery as a pictorial medium to explore events intangible for humans; Light, in luminescence, speed, macro, and micro. These events can be the Northern lights, or the birth of a star. My work dwells between high and low, sublime and mundane, science and craft; creating a dialogue of poles, as we are surrounded by dualities constantly.
