"Be the change that you wish to see in the world. __ Mahatma Gandhi Covid 19 pandemic is an eye opener to us all about the deteriorating state of the world we live in. The pandemic beam light to many loopholes in our governing system namely: unemployment, poor health service, rape, racism, murder, climate change, corruption, internet scam and many others. Drastic measures must be put in place to address these problems or we perish. The universe is saying: Can you see me now!!! Human society is in jeopardy from the accelerating decline of the Earth's natural life - support systems(according to UN global assessment report). "The health of the ecosystems on which we and other species depends is deteriorating more rapidly than ever. We are eroding the very foundation of economies, livelihoods, food security, health and quality of life worldwide", said Robert Watson(Ibpes). "We have lost time. We must act now." Innovation of new ideas and policy to surviving post Covid-19 is the way forward. Additionally, Artist all over the world especially, Africans should see this an opportunity to address and inform the audience (world) about the imminent danger facing our planet and likely solutions. We are in this together.

ARTIST STATEMENT I paint to capture the essence of nature and its components in their unique form by arranging colours side by side to form a unified whole; to enjoy the obvious that may be consciously hidden or otherwise. As perceived, light is the key that traverse in my paintings, unveiling the beauty of nature and its components in their various values. The world as represented by people, culture and the environment is beautiful to be a unique subject matter. BIO. Oyedele Abiodun Oyewumi was born in Ogbomoso, Oyo state, Nigeria in 1991. In close proximity to nature and his love for outdoor features further enhances his artistic talent. A science student before he was admitted to study Fine and Applied Arts at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso; thus, reignited his keen interest in Art. Abiodun has always been fascinated by the happenings of his environment. Hence, represented through drawings and paintings from his teenage years. After completing his degree, he taught Fine Art at Gomal Baptist College for a year. His focus was to help the young ones foster the same enthusiasm he has for Art. He has been honing his painting talent via the usage of many mediums, majorly oil for several years. Abiodun's paintings reflect our beautiful world as represented by our environment and diverse culture. His artwork depicts happenings in the society, giving vivid attention to the details through his usage of vibrant but cool therapeutic schemes.
