Numbers Painting

I was born in 1953 in northern Italy, where he still lives. In the seventies I did some work on conceptual matrix, mainly using the photographic image. Then for a while 'I gave up years of research in art and illustration to devote to advertising, which then seemed more close to everyday life. For some time I started the research that I left. I am interested in issues such as robotics, the randomness, repetition, variation. My work is focused on the concept of time, identity, awareness, try to produce images that are not purely aesthetic but which give rise to a moment of reflection. I love to work with the photo image or digital because it allows me a certain distance and then I think they are the most suitable to my sensibility, even though I do not exclude the use of traditional media. I'm also interested space among different types of work such as video and installation. In this regard I have many projects in the pipeline. Sono nato nel 1953 nel nord dell'Italia, dove tuttora abito. Negli anni settanta ho realizzato alcuni lavori a matrice concettuale, utilizzando prevalentemente l'immagine fotografica.Poi per un po' di anni ho abbandonato la ricerca artistica per dedicarmi all'illustrazione e alla pubblicit che allora mi sembravano pi vicine al vivere quotidiano. Da qualche tempo ho ripreso quella ricerca che abbandonai. Mi interessano aspetti come l'automatismo, la casualit, la ripetizione, le variazioni. Il mio lavoro verte sul concetto di tempo, di identit, di consapevolezza, cerco di produrre immagini che non siano meramente estetiche ma che ingenerino un momento di riflessione. Amo lavorare con l'immagine fotografica o digitale perchè mi permette un certo distacco e poi credo che siano i mezzi più adatti alla mia sensibilità, anche se non escludo l'utilizzo di mezzi tradizionali. Mi interessa anche spaziare tra tipologie di lavoro diverso, come il video e le installazioni. a questo riguardo ho molti progetti in cantiere.
