About The Artwork

Fashion is what interests me more than anything. As Roland Barthes said, fashion possesses the ability to tame “the new” even before ”the new” is produced, which results in a paradox that “the new” is unpredictable and disclosed at the same time. The world of fashion, therefore, represents a raw ideological construct, a manifestation of visual utopia. This utopia, decorated with hyper-aestheticized content, offers “amnesia” allowing the present to give way to the future. Fashion communicates with us. It’s undoubtedly an art form, and – as it has always been the case – it endeavors to tell us something. We should listen. And learn. Maybe we won’t hear anything, but we should make an effort to understand it. After all, we are humans, and humans create art to communicate, whether with themselves or with something divine and inexplicable.
