A realistic view of some of the worldwide most appreciated peaks of the Brenta Dolomites in Italy (UNESCO Heritage). I grew up beneath this scenery and depicting it is like an homage to such a special and beautiful site. In these representations there aren't humans' presence marks, to emphasize the authentic and spiritual essence of the Nature. This work took me many hours, and the result is a very suggestive image, which by means of a detailed drawing and the light effects, the specific fleeting atmosphere of the place is brought up to the spectator.

Italian, living in Spain. Architect and artist. Matteo Lencioni (Caprino Veronese, 1973) is an Italian painter who grew up in Trentino (Italian Alps), then studied in Milan, and currently resides in Barcelona, Spain. He is an architect and among the many passions he has, there is art, for which he moved from Madonna di Campiglio to Milan to attend the Arts High School. Over the years he has experienced many forms of artistic expression, adapting himself to changing life. "Painted Mountains" is the title of a project that originated in 2011 and consists of a series of landscapes painted on canvas that depict the peaks of his origins. A substantial part of the work is composed of views that faithfully reproduce reality, executed with a meticulous pictorial technique. They are detailed images that reveal the great beauty of nature through a panoramic framing and very accurate manual work. In other works the landscape is only a reference and is represented more freely, using a faster technique: here the intention is to express more spontaneous and subjective feelings linked, above all, to memory. There are no contradictions, but the will to show different approaches and interpretive channels of the world around us, from different points of view. As for the diffusion of his activity, in recent years he has organized personal exhibitions and has participated in other collective exhibitions in the local area. He also promotes his work through his personal blog and other websites specialized in art.
