Old Man Diving Painting

This is inspired by a video meme. I saw this old man from Rhodes, Greece. He is diving from that platform every day. As he is about to dive, he inspires many emotions: We are a bit frightened for him. We are puzzled. We are in anticipation. We know we'll be in awe when he dives. And yet, that Greek grandpa takes his time. He teaches us a thing or two in this moment: Do not rush. Do not be afraid. Be ready to jump. Everyday. Some people told me this piece disturbed them: It can evoke passage to the beyond. It's true too. And one more reason to wonder and ponder when looking at this piece. The original is small (postcard size). I keep it and I'm not currently selling it.
