ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece "Old Skool" is from my popular ongoing intuitive doodle series. In this series I create 100% intuitively, painting images that come to mind in the present moment, often consisting of symbols of nostalgia from my life. For this piece I decided to differentiate from my usual vibrant colour palette and use only black and white over top of a beige background to give a striking graphic style to the work. I used a variety of tools and line weights to create great interest and depth through shadows. This work comes attached with hanging wire and is ready to hang.
