About The Artwork

The objects were collected by the painter from a wild oleander tree which survived in an abandoned gas station in Euboea. Collecting abandoned/deserted objects and turning them into an art object is a regular practice of the painter in his classical realism works. This practice is a reflection of his personal life, as he was an orphan abandoned by his parents. So the artwork is one of those still-life paintings with a personal insight. This particular painting was exhibited in Venanzo Crocetti Museum in Rome between 23 September and 2 October 2023.
