About The Artwork
The beautiful French Opal Coast where I have been last summer inspired me partly for this painting, the base layer is home-made tempera and beeswax, then with oil paint to create the depth, various techniques such as with tempera give the bottom layer a transparent look, the very large Chinese brush gives the movement, the beeswax for structure I have also incorporated the opal colors of the stone opal, it continues to fascinate me

Within my paintings I want to be included in the space just as I am included in nature, that everything does not matter for a moment, the feeling of freedom and space totally disappear in it. Great painters such as Frank Bowling, Mark Bradford, Rotkho, Dumas are also a great source of inspiration
