ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With the use of bright colors inspired by a previous work I wanted to create a strong visual impact with my painting. Working with freehand, the pattern in the work is not quite the same as your eye moves across the canvas, intentionally so to encourage the viewer to reflect, to question and observe life in a new perspective and ultimately to seek the lost peace of heart in an age of fast pace.

I love to experiment in my process of painting, exploring opposites like the spontaneous mark alongside the deliberate, dark colours contrasted with fluorescent pigments, masses of colour juxtaposed with fine ribbons or scribbles of paint. Compositions that offer no clear connection to reality or meaning, rather present explorations of painting compositions that may stimulate memories and create pathways to the imagination.
