Ordinary People - Even closer Painting

I strive to express a sense of love and intimacy in an abstracted way, without becoming distant. In my paintings I always look for people to be displayed in an open way, so that you (the viewer) can identify and give a place to his or her own feelings. I like to express emotions of happiness, being together and comfort. I do this in a direct way. Immediately I put the paint on canvas. The painting continues as I work on it and I like to give space to the spontaneous developments between the paint, the canvas and the movement of my hand with a brush and palette knife. There is a lot of structure in the painting and there are also lines painted directly from the paint bottle. The combination of warm and cool shades (also gold) represent the totality of life for me, as well as light and shadow, warmth and coolness. The yellow parts you see in the painting are golden tones, that change according to the incidence of light. The couple is situated in an abstract landscape, a beach, clouds, a field... A lot is possible in my paintings.
