"Out in the Garden" was a work of art that was inspired from the many homes I have designed when I was in a different field of endeavour. But also I have travelled into many quaint areas that give me a feeling of protection and privacy. This is the painting that represents those things that were on my mind as I started to splash the paint around. I do not premix but rather let the paints meld together until I get that combination which represents my mind's eye with what the combination of colors and ridge lines that best conform or accidently click. Sometimes it is very labor intensive because it rarely fits my eye as I had originally intended so it's always a compromise.
